Mrs. Tamara McLaughlin is excited to bring over thirty years of music performing and pedagogical experience to her Csehy experience. She has a Master’s Degree in Trumpet Performance and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. As a trumpet player, Mrs. McLaughlin has held positions in the New Mexico Brass Quintet, Albuquerque (NM) Chamber Orchestra, Dubuque Symphony Orchestra (IA), Cedar Rapids Concert Band (IA) and most recently, The New Jersey Wind Symphony. As a cornet player, she has made her mark as a soloist, performing and recording with several of the premier competitive and professional British style brass bands across the United States. Over the past decade, she has been a performing guest in The Athena Brass Band that has been featured at International Women’s Brass Conferences and Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, IL. As a teacher, Tamara has been a guest instructor for Salvation Army Christian music camps as well as Christian Chamber music camps, utilizing her skills across New Mexico, Ohio, Iowa, Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. Tamara loves to contribute her trumpet and cornet voice in worship for God’s glory in churches and nursing care facilities. She and her husband Brian have recently retired and now reside in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
