Horn player Martina Adams has performed with The Philadelphia Orchestra, The Florida Orchestra, the Philly POPS, the No Name Pops, and currently freelances throughout the Delaware Valley region as well as teaching privately.
She is the fourth horn of Symphony in C and is a substitute musician with several regional orchestras. She toured Italy as principal horn with the Philadelphia All-City Orchestra and has performed with the multi-national classical crossover vocal group Il Divo and rock band The Bouncing Souls. Martina has appeared on FOX 29’s Good Day Philadelphia and on WRTI radio. She was accepted to the AIMS Graz in 2020 and has attended the Atlantic Brass Quintet Seminar, the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Horn Workshop, Curtis Summerfest, and the Imani Winds Chamber Music Festival. Martina was previously employed with the Philadelphia International Music Festival as Program Director with their Orchestra and Chamber Music Intensive programs. She attended Csehy first as a faculty kid and then as a camper growing up, and is thrilled to now be on the horn faculty!
Martina holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Temple University, where she studied with Jeffrey Lang. She received her Master’s degree from the Curtis Institute of Music where she studied with both Jennifer Montone and Jeffrey Lang. She started to play horn at age nine and studied with William Bonnell at Settlement Music School.
