K. Brandon Ironside enjoys an actie career performing in solo and chamber recitals, teaching, and orchestral playing. Currently he is Associate Professor of Violin and String Program Director at Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC.
A passionate chamber musician, he performs regularly with his wife collaborative pianist Dr. Kristen Ironside as a part of the Ironside Duo. An enthusiastic educator, Ironside has extensive experience as a teacher and coach, and prioritizes educational programs like Piedmont Chamber Orchestra and coaching young chamber musicians in programs around the Carolinas. An ardent supporter of contemporary music, he is regularly premiering new and commissioned chamber works. Frequently performing withGreenville Symphony,, Asheville Symphony, and the Charleston Symphony. He has also served as Concertmaster and Principal 2nd of the Greensboro Opera Company as well as Greensboro Light Opera and Song.
He earned his DMA as teaching assistant to Marjorie Bagley at UNC Greensboro. Ironside holds a Masters in Violin Performance from Arizona State University, under Dr. Katie McLin, and his B.Mus from the Schulich School of Music, McGill University studying with renowned pedagogues and concertmasters Denise Lupien and Jonathan Crow.
